My TOP 5 Flight tracking website tips are here, so keep your trousers, grab a hot cup of coffee, and enjoy! There has been a revolution in flight tracking, and for users this is a great thing. There are several high-quality websites that offer airline tracking, flight information and many of these services provide a visual map where you can see the real-time in-flight information of all the planes in the sky. Here’s some goodies that I decided to put into one extensive list.

  1. Google Flights You just can’t make a list without Google Flights. Although Google hasn’t yet provided us with airline tracking maps, which they probably could if they wanted to, they provide an extensive database with various flight information, which could help you save hundreds, or even thousands of dollars when booking your next vacation. The service also makes planning a trip MUCH MUCH easier.

  2. Flightstats I really recommend giving Flightstats a try! A great website that offers information on flights. They also provide some nice widgets, Facebook applications, and you can even get live RSS feeds for airport delays.

  3. FBOWeb Some say that FBOWeb is the mother of all airline tracking websites. Maybe it is, maybe not, but it's definitely worth checking out. They provide the user with heaps of information, like flight departure time, estimated arrival time, a interactive progress bar for specific flights, and also a interactive real-time updating map; which integrates with Google Earth. At the time I was writing this blogpost, it seems the website is down, but I hope this is only temporary.

  4. FlightView FlightView is all about maps, in my opinion. A beautiful service that offers the user brightly coloured maps with flight information. On top of this they have automatically updated information on scheduled and estimated arrival times.

  5. Lentotutka Let's end this list with a curiosity! I don't usually post non-English websites in my lists but they have a really good database of aviation websites, and they have the same name as my blog, so let's give it a go! This Finnish website called Lentotutka which basically means Flightradar (which also happens to be the word that inspired the name of this blog, yes I have Finnish roots) may be written in gibberish (aka. Finnish), so you won’t actually understand anything, if you can’t speak Finnish. However, they have a really good list of all the best airline tracking websites around the internet, so I recommend you give it a try!
